1. Will the procedure be painful?

This is the number one worry – and we’re pleased to say the answer is no. Thanks to advanced local anaesthetic and optional conscious sedation, you can expect a completely pain-free procedure.

You may feel some pressure or movement, but not pain. Afterwards, any mild discomfort can usually be managed with over-the-counter medication.

2. How long will the surgery take?

How long your dental implant surgery takes will depend on how many implants are being placed. A single implant can often be done in about an hour, while more complex cases may take a little longer. 3. What kind of anaesthesia or sedation will I have?

4. Will I be able to eat or drink afterwards?

5. What will happen immediately after the procedure?

6. Do I need someone to come with me?

If you’re having sedation, yes. You’ll need someone to take you home and stay with you for a few hours. 7. How long will recovery take?

The majority of patients feel well enough to get back to their daily activities the next day. However, we strongly recommend avoiding strenuous exercise or heavy lifting for about a week. Healing will be gradual, and your implant will continue to integrate with your jawbone over the next few months.

8. What if something goes wrong or I’m not healing properly?
